Lilypie Waiting to adopt Ticker

The girl that stole our hearts! We have to laugh at the temper on our little girl. Many think that it ends at about age 4 or 5 and we can attest that it does not. We are in for a ride! We love her compasion and how happy she is in one video and a spitfire in the other. She will fit in our family. Enjoy.

Nicole!!! Did they send it to you that with the music? The music made me tear up just by itself. It does sound like someone was teasing her though. =) She is so cute!

Well! Goodness Gracious, Miss Ti! We'll have no more of that hitting! :)

I also think she was being teased or irritated. She certainly was intent on "getting" the person with the camera. Maybe she just didn't want to be filmed?

Harper has a big ugly temper too, it's just a part of who she is. As parents, we have to teach them to channel it correctly. Although I think your hands will be VERY full as you do this, I'm sure you're up to the challenge.

It's better, I think, to have kids unafraid to stand up for themselves. My son Michael was easily pushed around (which is especially funny, given his size) and it took years before he got good at standing up himself.

Thankfully, my 4 girls are all like Liberti, unafraid of putting their collective feet down. I think that in later years, when someone offers Libbi or my girls a joint, or tries to take advantage of them, those spitfire tempers will be good things. :) I know with my Lori (my oldest, she's 30) NOBODY steps on her toes!!

Anyway, she's just beautiful, and clearly bright, happy and strong. What more could you ask for, right? I hope your court process is "faster than quick" and that'll I'll be able to hug all of you, in person, in November.

Love,
Val

hi Nicole. just watched the two videos. looks like she had a great time at the zoo. there are many captions there that I can translate for you. here are just some: Her favorite is the giraff. the elephant statue is for the elephant who had lived at Taipei zoo for a long time who recently passed. She likes soft served ice cream (as you can see in the video) and she wanted to get on the "horse" statue.
She is just adorable.

Not sure why she was crying at the second video other than she did not want to be filmed. You may have heard some one said "ai-yo" in the video. That is the Taiwanese way of saying "oh my gosh".

I had tears watching the video, she is just so cute.

Good luck with preparing the final documents.

How priceless!! I am so thrilled for you and really look forward to seeing the videos and pictures of Gotcha Day.

The second video of her tantrum is great. We always love to see the good stuff, and as a mom, I admit to snapping pictures of the best moments in life. However, a friend who is a photographer had a hilarious shot of her daughter crying/ pouting and I thought it was brilliant! We see those faces all the time, as well as the cute ones, and some day when the kids are grown-ups we should have documentation of the less than sugary parenting moments. It keeps it real.

My guess is that she was quite rested in the first video and quite tired in the second one. Our daughter Vonne Mei will often get angry when she is tired and she is not like that at any other time. I know that I am better when rested and more irritable when I am tired-such is the way of human nature. Vonne Barnett
